Job Description
The Business Development Director - Off Highway Tires Americas will be responsible for full ownership of the sales and business development efforts for the US region including Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Customer Analysis, Customer Service, and market segment analysis.
Develop and execute a sales and business development strategy for the North America region for AG, Mining, Construction and Off Highway
Build strong customer relationships and strategic partnerships to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products
Develop strategic roadmaps for key targets and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to grow market share with OEM and Distribution Channels
Achieve and exceed Budget Sales and Gross Margin targets with OEM and Channel customers
Ensure all reports, plans, forecasts and administrative requirements are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Work cross functionally with new product development, application engineering, customer service, finance, manufacturing and others
Meet all reporting deadlines as are set by senior management
Manage projects from concept to launch on time and within budget
Lead all pricing and contract negotiations securing long term agreements
Provide regular and relevant feedback on Market conditions, competitor activities and progress towards business objectives.
Analyze the current market position, i.e. the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
Working with the Marketing team develop marketing material, strategies and justify new project opportunities to support the sales effort
Participate in APQP meetings and follow up on commercial and customer related issues
Report on team members activities and progress while also developing and mentoring team members removing barriers for success. The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, or related. Engineering or Technical degree preferred, but not required
15 plus years of automotive, commercial vehicle, off highway sales experience calling on OEMs and Distributors
Must have at least 5 years of experience selling tires to off highway, mining, AG, or related end users direct to OEMs and through distribution
Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments
Must have experience with business development, program launches, and account management
Prior experience working in a global matrix organization
Strong hunter mentality with a strong track record of development new business
Analytical and organizational skills, high level of attention to detail
Strong business acumen and negotiation skills
High level of emotional intelligence
Experience working in a global organization preferred
Ability to travel 40-50%
What's on Offer
Competitive base salary $150,000 - $175,000, annual bonus $50,000.
