We're looking for an Environmental Services Technician to bring valuable skills and abilities to our Environmental Services/Housekeeping team here at Pioneers Medical Center. The primary purpose of the Environmental Services Technician is to maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, safe, orderly, and attractive manner in accordance with established procedures, as directed by the supervisor, and to assure that the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation is maintained at all times.

Essential Functions

Follows established procedures to assure that the facility is maintained in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition at all times, and that it complies with regulatory requirements.

Practice precautions at all times to assure that patients, residents, visitors, and employees are in a safe environment.

Disposes of trash, waste, and regulated medical waste into proper containers and maintain waste disposal containers.

Maintain carpets and flooring.

Perform proper disinfecting procedures in assigned areas.

Maintain the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the facility as assigned. Education and Experience

Be at least 18 years of age

Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent

Previous experience not required Skills and Abilities

Arrive for work on time and complete shift assignments in a safe, comprehensive, and efficient manner.

Demonstrate willingness to be dependable.

Demonstrate patience and diplomacy during interaction with patients, residents, visitors, and personnel during the work day.

Be a productive and positive member of the department.

Be able to strictly adhere to privacy policies, including HIPAA and HITECH.
