What You'll Do:
The Ohio Department of Health's Office of Human Resources is seeking a candidate to fill our Inventory Control Specialist Supervisor position to assist in leading the central receiving, inventory, mailroom and fleet management program. Experience in inventory control, salvage and surplus disposal, electronic data processing and supervisory principles and techniques is the desired background. The incumbent of this position will:
recruit and supervise staff (e.g., conducts performance evaluations, approves leaves, recommends discipline)
train personnel on proper inventory, receiving, mail and fleet management procedures
train staff on proper handling, receiving and disposition of materials, supplies and equipment and transport items weighing between 50-75 lbs for processing and handling orders
project costs and quantities necessary for projects/programs
monitor and update inventory, shipping, receiving, mail, inventory and fleet management
information and provide information requested to programs, vendors and staff
coordinate activities with central and district offices, warehouse, laboratories and vendors to achieve distribution goals
18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in inventory control; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in employee training & development; 3 courses or 9 mos. exp. in electronic data processing related to inventory control; 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in agency policies & procedures & state & federal regulations governing inventory control & salvage & surplus disposal; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in public relations.
