Salary: 80,000- 110,000

Overview:

A leading manufacturing facility in SC is seeking a Controls Engineer to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated production equipment. This role focuses on maintaining and improving machine controls, resolving complex issues related to PLCs, drives, and process systems, and contributing to preventive maintenance planning. Ideal candidates will bring hands-on experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs, SEW drives, and be comfortable working in high-heat and high-decibel environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to diagnose and resolve issues related to automation and equipment controls

Plan and execute preventive maintenance tasks with the electrical team and manager

Troubleshoot and repair complex systems including servo drives, Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs

Read and interpret electrical schematics using EPLAN or CAD and redline documentation as needed

Maintain Octoplant backups for all process control systems

Configure and monitor system trends to support operational efficiency and identify potential issues

Design and implement control system improvements to enhance machine performance and product quality

Provide after-hours technical support as needed to assist with critical equipment issues

Qualifications:

Required:

Minimum 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience

Minimum 5 years of experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix 5000 PLCs

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related technical field from an accredited institution
