MJH is looking for a Sales Team Lead - Walmart! The Sales Team Lead – Walmart leads all customer buyer engagement and internal MJH coordination for the Walmart business. This role maintains leadership of managing the omni sales performance to the MJH AOP and Walmart budget. This role coordinates efforts towards managing the daily Walmart business across vendor management, planning and forecasting, item setup, retail operations, WMT.com (1p), category advisory, warehouse operations, and communication to Senior Leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Partnership
Maintain partnerships and daily communication with Walmart buyers to support our categories. - Including omni sales reviews, release calendar management, gap planning, in-store service/execution, promotions, and financials.
Maintain omnichannel weekly reporting to internal and buyer stakeholders. - Including sales recaps, townhall notes, omni forecast updates, service scorecards, item sales recaps, and calendar updates
Support customer and trade events. - Including YBM, holiday shows, NYTF, licensing shows, Comic Con, Pokémon summit, etc.
Customer Execution:
Execute sales strategy, budget, and programs to support MJH’s revenue goals.
Negotiate margins and terms of agreement to meet MJH’s financial goals.
Build relationships and trust internally to execute the customer strategy effectively.
Work closely with the Director of Sales Insights to build a deep understanding of the trends and performance to optimize the strategy.
Work closely with planning and forecasting teams to ensure inventory optimization on mods. - Recurrent assessment of inventory access + shelf space vs sales demand.
Work closely with the Field Operations team to ensure in-store execution of the mods and strategy.
Proactively bring breakdowns and opportunities to the SVP Sales to solve issues and capitalize on opportunities.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong commercial maturity to navigate complex partnerships with the buyers and internal stakeholders.
Strong negotiation skills to manage difficult financial conversations around SBT, shrink, margins, and incentives.
Understand how to build mutually beneficial partnerships, and be able to build a plan to achieve both MJH outcomes and customer outcomes in a singular strategy.
Fact-based selling approach - navigate both internal and external conversations with facts and insights.
Assertive and decisive while maintaining a team-based approach.
Able to work in a matrix, cross-functional management and operational environment.
Presentation skills, ability to develop/present a compelling narrative to the buyers and MJH leadership team.
Self-starter, can manage the business proactively without daily guidance from leadership.
Can build trust via honest and transparent relationships both internally and externally.
Brings passion and care to their work on a daily basis, and has a desire to bring the rigor required to be successful.
Comfortable and competent in managing through a change agency.

EDUCATION
A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required, an MBA is highly preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Mass retail direct sales experience.
Minimum of five (5) years retail industry work experience in progressive positions with increasing responsibilities in a detail-oriented, fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Minimum of five (5) year experience in sales with a strong background in consumer products of hard goods.
Or any combination of experience and education that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to perform assigned tasks.
Preferred:
Prior experience in the trading card, retail distribution, or category management industry.
Experience managing and leading a team.
