Front Desk Support Staff – Bilingual (Spanish) Preferred
The Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District (THPRD) is seeking highly organized individuals who deliver exceptional customer service to join our team as Front Desk Support staff at Cedar Hills Recreation Center. Bilingual (Spanish) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. The ideal candidates will be committed to providing outstanding customer service at Cedar Hills Recreation Center. As Front Desk Support staff, you will serve as the first point of contact for clerical and customer support, with the primary goal of creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all patrons.

Qualifications:
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
While this is an entry-level position, prior experience in administrative and clerical support is preferred. Successful candidates will be familiar with office management principles, demonstrate the ability to create an inclusive environment, and have a basic understanding of Office 365 platforms such as Word, Excel, Publisher, and Teams.
Scheduling:
Staff are typically scheduled between 2 to 29 hours per week, with part-time employees working less than 1,560 hours annually. Since our centers operate on unique schedules, the general hours of operation are as follows:
Monday - Friday: 6:30 am – 8:30 pm
Saturday & Sunday: 7:45 am – 4:00 pm
Key Responsibilities:
Answer multi-line telephone systems, direct calls to appropriate personnel, and take accurate messages.
Greet the public and provide information on schedules, program descriptions, and general inquiries both over the phone and in person.
Provide general clerical support, such as preparing and formatting forms, letters, and reports based on rough drafts or detailed instructions.
Assist the public with program enrollment by registering participants, collecting payments, and handling related registration procedures.
Maintain a positive customer experience through professional and courteous behavior.
Assist in light daily cleaning to ensure the health and safety of all participants and staff.

Job Classification Status
THPRD is hiring for multiple positions within the following classification statuses. Hours may vary based on program needs.
Part-Time Variable (PT): Work an average of fewer than 20 hours per week, with less than 1,560 hours annually.
Part-Time Benefits Eligible (PTB): Work an average of 20 to 29 hours per week year-round and qualify for enrollment in a benefits package.
