Summary Description: The purpose of this position is to verify conformance of materials and products to specifications, to analyze trends in product inspection data, to recommend some basic process adjustments to operators, and to provide additional support to the company in various areas related to meeting customer requirements.

Qualifications

General Duties:

This position is responsible for:

Collecting, maintaining, and testing finished products, intermediates, and raw materials.

Making adjustments to formulations in-process, and communicating to color matching / management when formulas need to be re-investigated.

Minor troubleshooting of process problems.

Maintaining complete and accurate technical information, including inspection results and notes on adjustment activities.

Responsible for operating the laboratory equipment, including test equipment, molding equipment, computers, etc.

Clearly communicating to other shifts and involved personnel the status of any product they have worked with.

Responsible for maintaining housekeeping in the laboratory and inspection areas.

Responsible for other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Physical ability to lift and move material such as 55 lb (25 kgs) packages and full 55 gallon drums.

Ability to read and write clearly and concisely

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide proficiently. This includes use and calculation of percentages, decimals, fractions, and whole numbers. This also includes understanding of unit conversions (ie kg à lbs)
