Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Monitors and maintains inventory levels through effective recording of incoming and outgoing merchandise, tracks purchase orders, reconciles discrepancies, and oversees the general organization of the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for monitoring inventory levels of stock, supplies, equipment, appliances, and other commodities stored at the Warehouse;
Receive and store incoming products, reconcile with purchase orders, and keep track of outgoing goods and supplies ;
Responsible for tracking inventory and determining need for replenishment;;
Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer generated reports, procures necessary items;
Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as invoices or orders to verify accuracy and process and document returns as required;
Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes;
Maintain workorder submittals on transfer forms, for proper disposal of items, equipment, furniture, etc.;
Maintain a clean and organized storage area;
Maintain accurate and up-to-date files, inventory and documentation of services provided;
Responsible for performing administrative tasks to support daily business operations such as responding to phone calls and emails;
Collaborate with vendors, employees, managers, directors and stakeholders;
Serve as a backup to the Warehouse Driver;
Other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma, or its equivalent GED, and work experience in a warehouse setting and/or managing inventory levels; Must be available to work flexible hours which may include weekends or on occasion special events; Must possess valid Texas Driver’s License and be insurable; Must be able to successfully pass a post-offer drug screen and a criminal history background check.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods; Excellent organizational and time management skills; Ability to provide excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; Ability to follow all safety regulations and warehouse protocols; Ability to communicate effectively verbally and and in written form; Must have good listening skills, strong attention to detail, and have the ability to work independently and accurately; Must have excellent computer skills that include working with web-based software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Ability to operate a forklift or other heavy equipment (training provided by YDSP); Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively; Ability to effectively read and understand work related documents; Ability to handle confidential information appropriately; Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations; Ability to performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials;
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is frequently required to move, bend, stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands, use fingers, legs and arms; climb and/or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch while handling material. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds or more. The vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
