Responsibilities
Produce detailed drawings, plan sets, and volume calculations for various disciplines including landfills
Communicate with Project Managers and Senior Engineers on constant basis about project work and designs
Listen and understand the questions and be able to provide the best possible solution for implementation
Responsible for providing design assistance for all production assignments, doing research to solve design problems and working with other resources to streamline processes
Develop design concepts and create project design deliverables from sketches, written and/or verbal instructions
Apply judgment and make decisions with respect to deliverables and input interpretation
Ensure that the design concept and deliverables are complete and meet company or client requirements, applicable codes, and standards
Make revisions to project drawings marked up by Project Manager and/or Engineer
Create and manage electronic document file structure, naming convention in accordance with company or client standards
Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to set-up and manage contract and construction drawings
Create and/or modify base drawings, which may be used in a variety of presentation documents
Can be relied on as productive team member and AutoCAD user to work a typical set of project documents from beginning to end with professional quality output that conforms to company and client standards
Must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time in different locations and states
Follow CAD standards
Check final drawing to verify completeness, clarity and accuracy of drawing Qualifications
Technical school certificate in CAD design or an Associate's Degree in CAD or related engineering discipline
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
Understanding of the Windows Operating System
Verbal skills and organizational ability to communicate with project managers and engineers.
Ability to work occasional overtime as needed
