Accounting Assistant

PGS Worldwide is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to join our team supporting a prominent aerospace and defense company. This is an excellent hybrid opportunity for candidates with accounts payable or general accounting experience who are looking to contribute in a fast-paced financial environment. This is a six month contract to hire.

In This Role, You Will:

Accurately process invoices using SAP S4 and OpenText/VIM

Review and index financial information from PO invoices

Troubleshoot and resolve invoice-related issues using analytical skills

Communicate clearly with internal departments regarding accounting procedures

Perform monthly closing support and help meet processing metrics

Maintain compliance with GAAP, SOX, and company policies Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in accounts payable or general accounting

Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools

Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

Ability to work independently and multitask in a deadline-driven environment Preferred Qualifications:

SAP experience (especially S4)

OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) experience

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field

Previous experience in a financial shared services or government contracting environment

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros)

Familiarity with FAR, GAAP, and SOX regulations
