Career and Self-Development: The student worker will develop skills related to working in a group and managing aspects of a project that can be utilized in future professional settings.
Communication: The student worker will develop both written and verbal communication skills as a member of the OWB team and with members of the community.
The Data Collection & Volunteer Coordination Student Worker will assist Our West Bayfront in gathering essential data and coordinating volunteer efforts to support community programs and initiatives. This role will provide hands-on experience in community outreach, data management, volunteer coordination, and event planning. The student will gain valuable skills in project management, data analysis, and volunteer engagement in a dynamic, community-focused organization.
Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study as part of your financial aid package.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Docs.
• Ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities simultaneously.
• Comfortable working with diverse groups of people, including volunteers, community members, and team members.
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to a wide range of community outreach and volunteer management tasks.
Preferred Qualifications

• Previous volunteer experience or interest in volunteer coordination.
• Coursework or experience in nonprofit management, community outreach, or related fields.
• Experience with event planning or organizing community activities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.

Physical Demands
Candidate must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.
