In this position as Quality and Information Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to lead an expanding team in the Clinical Laboratories including the Automated Lab, Specialty Lab, and Cellular Therapy. Guide lab managers plus our academic faculty partners and medical directors on Quality/Information initiatives. Use your expertise and drive to oversee lab regulatory requirements and hospital policy/safety relative to CAP and Joint Commission surveys plus New York State. This is a day shift position with as-needed extension to other shifts as inherent in a leadership position. Location is our Columbia campus in Upper Manhattan/Washington Heights.

Preferred Criteria

NYS License in Clinical Laboratory Technology and/or ASCP certification

Master’s degree

Advanced proficiency with data analytics and familiarity with Performance Improvement tools

Microbiology experience

Cellular Therapy and Apheresis Quality Assurance experience

Required Criteria

Minimum of 4 years of clinical laboratory experience or 2 years of clinical laboratory experience with Master’s degree or 1 years of experience with a MD, DO or doctoral degree in a chemical, physical or biological science

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in related field

Advanced computer proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Strong administration, written and verbal communication skills and thorough knowledge of data information systems.

Highly organized and have strong interpersonal and presentation skills
