The Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii Store Manager is responsible for creating and delivering on our customer promise with every customer engagement. They are responsible for driving business, operational, and customer experience success by “leading with Aloha” and executing store operations in accordance with Bad Ass Coffee’s system guidelines and standards. The Store Manager must have Aloha Spirit and be highly organized, dependable, self-motivated, and lead their ‘ohana’ (team) by example.
Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii is hiring a Store Manager to join our team at our Madison New Jersey location. We are searching for an experienced, outgoing manager who will contribute to enhancing our community and help foster an environment of hospitality, warmth and fun for our customers and staff. The Store Manager will report directly to Franchise Owner for all job duties and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Models Aloha Spirit and manages the day-to-day business of operating the Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii shop with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture, values, and mission of Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii.
Accountable for working with ownership to establish a business plan for the shop and responsible for managing the financial operation of the shop to that plan
Responsible for working with ownership to execute a comprehensive local store marketing plan for the shop.
Effectively recruit, manage and motivate a talented ‘ohana (Hawaiian for family) that operate the store with high energy and passion for creating memorable experiences that bring customers back by preparing and serving the Bad Ass Coffee menu with excellence and adherence to company standards.
Directs new employee training by directing on-boarding and in-store education while leveraging additional training tools provided by Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii.
Provides regular and constructive feedback to staff, barista and shift leads regarding performance while providing a learning environment and incentives to drive personal and store success.
Ensures that all staff are trained in daily sales and cash handling, accountability and policies/procedures
Executes store operations according to the Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii Store Operations Manual.
· Maintains a clean, organized, efficient and safe working environment and general business appearance inside and out while following local/state/national health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Maintains the general upkeep of the store interior and maintenance of all equipment necessary to operate the business.
Utilizes operational management tools to plan, monitor and modify day-to-day operational components including labor scheduling, inventory management, sales performance, finance, marketing and procurement.
Works with the Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii (franchisor) home office to execute national promotions and introductions of new menu and merchandise items.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in the restaurant industry – preferably in the coffee or beverage segment with at least one year in a management capacity.
A minimum of two years’ experience as a coffee shop manager or similar with demonstrated experience in managing people.
Basic Skills/Qualifications:
Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality of the entire staff.
Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
Highly organized and able to multi-task, problem solve and generate creative ideas that drive store sales and customer satisfaction.
Strong drive, willingness to learn and ambition to manage multiple restaurants
· The ability to be on their feet for 5 to 8 hours at a time.
· General understanding of Excel, back-end POS or similar programs.
Ability to direct the work of others.
Ability to learn quickly.
Effective oral communication skills.
Knowledge of the retail environment.
Strong interpersonal skills.
