Overview of the Job
A school finance officer manages a school's finances, including budgeting, invoicing, and payments. They also provide administrative support to the school's principal.
Experience and Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. An advanced degree, such as an MBA Professional certifications, such as the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
Compensation
Part-Time Hourly Wage: $17-$27
Based on Experience and Qualifications
Weekly Hours: 20-25
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for overall financial operations of the school, including development and maintenance of annual budget and long-range financial projections.
Accounting
Maintains FACTS Tuition financial records
Completes TN Department of Human Service Reports
Maintain financial systems and processes
Produce and analyze figures for accountants
Audit accounts, invoices, billing and expense claims
Budgeting
Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets
Develop and maintain annual budgets and long-range financial projections
Financial reporting
Compliance
Financial planning and analysis
Analyze the financial strengths and weaknesses of the school
Propose corrective actions
Collaborate with different departments for planning and budgeting
