No Position Summary Information Job Description Summary This job will be responsible for an assigned letters of the alphabet for processing federal student aid.

This will include but not limited to verification, file completion, awarding, award notifications, on-site advisor with students/parents and via the phone.

Assist as needed in awarding veteran benefits.

Required Education Bachelor's degree required Preferred Education Required Experience 1-year minimum financial aid experience preferred Preferred Experience Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Counsel and advise students/families regarding their financial aid options including veteran benefits and status as needed * Serve as back up advisor for veteran benefit processing and advising * Assist students/families with application process as needed * Process Electronic Applications, Corrections, & perform Verification as required * Review of all necessary data elements that are required for awarding including but not limited to major, satisfactory academic progress, educational intent, transcript evaluation, NSLDS monitoring, high school graduation verification, previous college verification, etc.

and resolution of any missing information issues that arise due to the review * Clearance of Identity and Unusual Enrollment History issues for selected applications in assigned alphabet * Resolve all conflicting data discovered from file review including, but not limited to information concerning Selective Service, INS, SSA, Homeland Security * Perform timely and accurate processing of corrections to the FPP * Timely process all Special and Unusual Circumstances request * Process student notifications in a timely manner * Award additional categories of aid apart from Title IV, including but not limited to scholarships, waivers and exemptions; including summer aid * Have working knowledge of student loan annual and aggregate limits to maintain loan revision requests for assigned alphabet * Assist the front counter as needed, including the phone queue * Responsible for accurate calculations of student budgets, unmet need and automated packaging via batch formats; including assigning and maintaining attendance patterns for specialty program students in assigned alphabet * Provide support to students at the WCWC location as required * Participate in outreach as requested by supervisors, i.e.

CORE presentations, High school outreach, College FAFSA nights, etc.
