Position Responsibilities: We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Imaging & Testing Appointment Scheduler to provide excellent patient service in person and over the phone.
In this role, you will answer incoming calls related to imaging and testing appointments efficiently and professionally, and assist patients with scheduling, canceling, or rescheduling imaging appointments at ORA Imaging offices and other facilities as needed.
Responsibilities include verifying and updating patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring all necessary documentation, such as insurance cards, are properly scanned and saved before scheduling, reviewing daily imaging schedules to support optimal patient care, managing referrals, and faxing reports and orders when necessary.
Additionally, the scheduler may provide MRI Patient Registration coverage, including check-in and check-out tasks.
ORA holds all our staff members accountable for providing high-level care, maintaining patient confidentiality, and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations.
As an Imaging & Testing Appointment Scheduler, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient service and ensuring a smooth and efficient scheduling experience for our patients.
Requirements: This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Previous appointment scheduling experience in a medical office is preferred.
A successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of customer service principles and will have familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical terminology.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and collaborate with medical professionals are requirements of this role.
Flexibility to work at all ORA Imaging Center clinic locations as scheduled is also required.
