Salary: $22-$24.06/hour plus bonuses for each patient seen
AMERIMED MIH Community ParamedicJob Summary AMERIMED MIHCommunity Paramedicis seekingexperienced, highly motivated individuals to fill the position of Community Paramedic. The Community Paramedic is responsible forin-home assessmentsand treatment of patients.Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide quality patient care in accordance withclinical operating policies, statewide protocols, and accepted standards of care
Attend to all patients in a courteous, professional manner
Operate the companyvehicle in accordance withsafety rules and regulations; company policies and procedures; federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and statutes
Complete an equipment checklist at the beginning of each assigned shift. Inspect and clean
the assigned vehicle and all equipment. Ensure compliance with minimum stock requirements, proper functionand cleanliness of all equipment.
Keep a continuity of the As it should be checklist throughout workday.
Participate in discharge planning
Complete initialin-home assessments and on-going home visits as appropriate forall patients enrolledin the program
Collaborate
professionally with medical providers both in person and via telemedicine to evaluate and treat patients
Complete and submitall documentation/paperwork requirements daily
Must be able to maintaina reliable attendance record including coming to work on time.
Be knowledgeable of and comply withall company policies, procedures, and guidelines withAmerimed
Maintain all required certifications as an active EMS provider and supply the managerwith valid copies of all certifications and drivers license prior to their expiration dates as well as
submit a copy of drivers license for the yearly MVR pull.
Read department SOPs and sign compliance form and confidentiality agreement
Complete other duties as assigned by managementQualifications
Current certificationas a Paramedic as defined by the State
Possess a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
3 years minimumexperience as a Paramedic
Must possessstrong customer service and communication skills
Must be able to work independently; must be able to function as part of a care planning team
Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS), and/or CP-C are preferred.
