As a key member of our team, the Human Resources Generalist I provides hands-on support across a wide range of HR functions. This role supports employees and managers alike by coordinating day-to-day HR activities, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture. You’ll work closely with all departments—operations, sales, maintenance, and more—helping to shape an engaged, well-supported workforce. This is a part-time role designed for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats in a close-knit environment.

MAIN FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Employee Relations & Support: Provide guidance to employees and supervisors on HR policies and practices. Support conflict resolution, administer employee recognition programs, and assist in addressing performance or disciplinary concerns.

Performance Management: Support the performance review process by coordinating timelines, gathering feedback, and helping to implement performance improvement plans where needed.

Recruitment Coordination: Coordinate interviews, phone screens, and assessments. Manage job postings and applicant flow, and maintain communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.

New Hire & Onboarding: Facilitate pre-employment background checks, offer letters, and new hire paperwork. Coordinate orientation activities and help new employees integrate into the company culture.

Employee Engagement: Implement employee satisfaction initiatives such as feedback surveys, engagement events, and internal recognition programs.

Training & Development: Oversee and maintain the company’s training calendar. Schedule and coordinate required training across departments to ensure compliance and development goals are met.

Compliance & Policy Administration: Ensure HR processes and documentation comply with applicable labor laws and internal policies. Assist with investigations, grievances, and maintaining accurate records.

HR Administrative Support: Assist with confidential HR administrative tasks, including handling mail and phone calls related to employee matters. Maintain employee records and documentation, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies and regulations.Requirements:

Education: Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred)

Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a human resources support or coordinator role

Prior experience in a small business or manufacturing environment is a plus

Skills: Experience in coordinating interviews, onboarding, and/or training processes. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience using Paylocity HRIS or similar software
