DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automating, deploying, and maintaining applications on cloud and on-premises environments. You will collaborate with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff members to manage code releases and optimize our CI/CD pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient infrastructure.

Develop CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes.

Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability and availability.

Manage cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and on-premises servers.

Develop and maintain configuration management solutions (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.

Ensure the security and compliance of infrastructure and application environments.

Optimize build processes and automate repetitive tasks.

Collaborate with development and operations teams to achieve faster delivery cycles.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.

Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).

Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.

Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and automated testing frameworks.

Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools (Nagios, ELK, Prometheus).

Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

Understanding of networking, security best practices, and system administration.

Problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with microservices and serverless architectures.

Knowledge of database administration (SQL and NoSQL).

Familiarity with load balancing, DNS, and firewall configuration.

Experience with incident response and disaster recovery planning.
