Operator-Distribution, Packaging & Labeling

COMPANY:

Discovery Solutions seeks applicants for a Operator-Distribution, Packaging & Labeling.

LOCATION:

Winslow, Maine

SUMMARY:

This individual performs activities that support the packaging, labeling of products. Primary duties include applying labels to vials and/or bottles, packing orders for shipment, retrieving necessary materials from storage and completing paperwork related to activity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for labeling and packing vaccines for shipment. Includes applying labels to vials or bottles, placing vials/bottles in appropriate carton, and applying outer box and/or carton label

Completes required paperwork (packaging/labeling records) accurately and efficiently following company documentation procedures

Enters required data in SAP (Systems, Applications and Products in data processing)

Monitors the packaging line to prevent bottlenecks, as well as ensure final product quality in accordance with company and USDA standards

Trouble-shoots labeling equipment to ensure process runs efficiently

Participates in cycle and/or year-end inventory counting processes

Responsible for keeping work area neat, clean and organized

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications

Must be detail orientated and self-motivated

Must be dependable and able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-pace team orientated environment

1-2 years of experience in a packaging role

1-2 years of experience operating powered industrial trucks
