Position Summary
Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical, injection molding presses). Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to improve efficiency, capability, and yield. Perform equipment failure analysis (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance).
This position is 100% onsite at our Dublin, OH facility.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the successful completion of assigned maintenance tasks or process improvements. Integrate state-of-the-art technology with existing equipment to improve the process. Keeps Supervisor fully informed of project status and technical issues.
Perform tasks and assignments for supervisor and complete in accordance with established schedules or timelines. Follow up on projects/assignments with minimum supervision. Participate in the maintenance huddles and maintenance improvement discussions as a key team member in respective areas of support.
Recommends timing appropriate for the situation to supervisors. Including but not limited to problems and review of spare parts, specifications, SOP’s and preventative maintenance for equipment and processes within area of responsibility.
Perform machine Preventive Maintenance tasks – documenting results on time and accurately
Adhere to & maintain up-to-date status on pertinent cGMPs, cGDP, SOP’s, and plant policies/rules/training. Reinforce safety practices and set an example for other employees.
Assist in machine changeover – adjusts cylinders, machine settings to optimize machine performance – works closely with machine operators to solve problems
Perform duties as assigned or required
Overtime as required or requested depending on plant needs as requested by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to troubleshoot pneumatics, electrical components, assembly machines, bagging machines, mechanical systems, robots, and pickers
Must be able to use Multi meter, calipers, hand tools
Some experience in Injection molding, Hoist, overheat cranes, heating, cooling desired but not required.
The position requires a high level of resourcefulness, self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision, an ability to get things done by overcoming obstacles, anticipating, and resolving problems, making difficult compliant decisions, and finding a way to complete tasks through innovative actions in potentially different areas of the facility.
Able to interpret Engineering specifications and read engineering drawings. Must have thorough knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical principles and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and/or processes to optimize its performance.
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School diploma required. An associate degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Preferred to have skills or experience in injection molding, welding, pipe fitting, sheet metal work, and/or hydraulic hose fabrication.
Requires 2 + years’ experience with industrial mechanical, electrical or similar systems
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
The work environment can range from clean rooms and proper gowning requirements to a production area that is open, potentially noisy, and with moving equipment.
Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. unassisted, be able to lift and move equipment/parts up to 600 lbs. assisted.
