Accounting Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding and managing the billing process, including billing customers after loads are delivered and maintaining accurate billing customer profiles. You will work closely with terminals, customer care, and other billing specialists to ensure that billing is accurate and timely. Strong data entry, communication, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. POSITION PURPOSE: This individual is responsible for understanding the billing process and billing loads after they are delivered.

JOB DUTIES:

Assist with assigning document types to scanned documents.

Bill customers and close terminals. This requires an understanding of rate agreements and customer profiles. It also requires communicating with terminals and customer care.

Assist other billing specialists as needed.

Maintain billing customer profiles. Update as necessary in order to keep the documents current.

Perform administrative tasks as needed.

Other duties as determined by the Director of Pricing, Billing & Settlements. Duties may be changed at the desire of management.

QUALIFICATIONS: Most possess a High School education or GED, with prior experience in a clerical, pricing, or accounts receivable field.

JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

Excellent data entry skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once.

Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and various proprietary systems.

Must be able to work under time pressure and meet multiple deadlines.
