Summary

The main focuses of an Architectural Millwork Drafter are interpreting architectural plans, blueprints, sketches, and/or other drawings in order to produce detailed shop drawings for custom millwork and casework. Shop drawings will include necessary manufacturing standards while meeting necessary design intent.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create detailed shop drawings and construction documents for custom millwork and casework using AutoCAD, Microvellum, and Innergy software.

Collaborate with project managers to ensure design intent and project goals are met.

Communicate with project managers to ensure necessary RFIs are being submitted

Ensure project schedules, deadlines, and budgets are met.

Revise project drawings with final dimensions and additional details for production.

Communicate with the manufacturing team to ensure that production requirements are clearly understood.

Assist in the development and maintenance of the companys drafting standards.

And other duties / responsibilities as assigned based on the needs of the company

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Four (4) year degree from college or technical school; four (4) to ten (10) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficiency in AutoCAD & Microvellum is a plus

3-5 years of experience in architectural millwork drafting

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications

Extensive knowledge of using, configuring, and managing software systems, such as INNERGY, Microsoft Office Suite, and Bluebeam
