**Job Title: General Production Worker**
**Job Description**
The General Production Worker is responsible for packing products across three major classifications: Foam, Coatings Mills, or Coatings Reactors. This role involves labeling products before and after packaging, setting up the packaging area, and ensuring that containers are filled to specified weight and quality standards. The worker must also prepare containers by crimping lids, torqueing bungs and tote caps, and using seals and zip ties. Additionally, the role includes following DOT hazardous material procedures and handling hazardous materials properly.
**Responsibilities**
+ Pack products in Foam, Coatings Mills, or Coatings Reactors classifications.
+ Label products before and after packaging as needed.
+ Set up packaging area for designated product classifications.
+ Fill containers to specified weight and quality standards.
+ Label wash, leftover bulk, or non-conforming material appropriately.
+ Prepare packages by using nitrogen to remove contaminants.
+ Crimp lids, torque bungs and tote caps, and use seals and zip ties for container closures.
+ Follow DOT hazardous material procedures as trained.
+ Handle hazardous materials properly.
+ Accurately complete paperwork, including batch tickets.
+ Maintain production flow and process documentation.
+ Identify and act upon variations in foreign debris, texture, and color.
+ Understand and follow all SOPs (standard operating procedures).
+ Work closely with Quality Control to maintain packaging standards.
+ Multitask effectively and perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
+ Comply with all safety processes and requirements.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Understanding of chemicals, compounding, mixing, blending, and operating machinery.
+ Familiarity with batch sheets, batch instructions, and GMPs.
+ Ability to follow SOPs and safety processes.
+ Capability to operate large mixing equipment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in chemical or food manufacturing.
+ Knowledge of GMPs.
+ Willingness to shave every other day.

**Work Environment**
This position requires working the 2nd shift from 3pm to 1:30am, Monday through Thursday, with mandatory Friday overtime. The work takes place in a manufacturing setting with large mixing equipment. The dress code is casual, similar to painting attire, and the job is physically demanding, requiring the regular lifting of 50-70 lbs buckets, with the assistance of lift equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukesha, Wisconsin.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
