SMS Staffing Inc is Hiring Immediately for skilled Warehouse Associates!

Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Job Location: North Chicago, IL

Job Type: Contract (possible extension or convert to hire)

Pay: $19.50 an hour

Shift Structure: Monday-Wednesday 8am-5:30pm • Thursday 10am-5:30pm • Friday 11am-5:30pm

The role of the Warehouse Associate:

Perform warehouse job duties such as counting, sorting, and recording of large, heavy-weight stock.

Performs warehouse operations on the receiving dock, picks orders, packs orders and/or helps with dock processing and incoming/outgoing shipments.

Recording exact arrival and departure times for shipments.

Counting stock, maintaining, and keeping inventory records.

Receiving, processing, labeling, and storing incoming stock as well as keeping records and documentation on damages.

Lift occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.

Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around.

About the Warehouse Associate:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Exposure to working in a quality and controlled material environment.

Strong Work history 2+ years in previous roles.

Forklift Certification/ Experience a plus

Distribution experience a plus; 3PL experience a plus

Demonstrate attention to detail

Demonstrate reliability and initiative

Ability to work in hot and cold environments.

Ability to lift 50lbs constantly.
