We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Program Manager to lead and manage a complex defense program supporting the US Navy Surface TYPE Commanders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record supporting Department of the Navy (DoN) initiatives and a strong background in program and project management. This role requires a strategic thinker and dynamic leader who will serve as the primary interface with government stakeholders and oversee all aspects of project execution, planning, administration, and compliance.

Supporting the Surface TYPE Commander's (TYCOM's) mission is to man, train and equip the U.S. Navy Surface Fleet. This role is centered on supporting a complete, well-engineered, and continuously improving the Class Maintenance Plan (CMP) that facilitates the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process, streamlines maintenance processing, develops maintenance strategies, and directly support surface ship Expected Service Life (ESL) goals. This includes providing technical, programmatic, and administrative support for the TYCOM \ Staff in support of these efforts.

The Program Manager with support from Senior Task Managers and Availability Work Package managers will assist with the development, scheduling, planning, and tracking of surface ship depot level maintenance and modernization work.

Qualifications:

Over 15 years' experience in DoD/Navy program management, Industry or Government technical management, or Industry or Government business management.

10 plus years supervisory experience.

Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in related field, or 10 of minimum 15 years of experience was gained because of in-depth experience and specialized knowledge in the related field.

5 plus years' experience in communicating, interacting, and working among Senior Executive Service and Flag level personnel.

May work from any location but must have the ability to travel to various TYCOM locations to meet with Senior Task managers

PgMP or PMP certification preferred Education

BS/BE in marine engineering, maintenance management, industrial engineering, or other maritime-related field. Clearance

Active DoD Secret Clearance or Higher

California Pay

$160,000-$175,000 USD
