About This Role:
Under general supervision, the Technical Support Technician provides support to the Engineering and Production Departments. Assists with all aspects of New Product Development and Sustaining Engineering projects, including engineering pilot runs, tooling fabrication, fixture fabrication, prototyping, and testing.

Essential Job Functions/Tasks:
Coordinates the fabrication of Engineering Pilot Run assemblies. Assembles product for engineering testing. Suggests improvements for assembly of products. Coordinates and monitors the testing of R&D parts and products. Attends team meetings and becomes familiar with the NPD process.
Oversees and plans the builds of R&D new product development products. Plans and maintains an inventory of purchased and molded parts required for future product builds.
Works with the Manufacturing Engineering team in developing best methods for the efficient assembly of new products.
Submits sample requests to and coordinates with the Molding team for the creation of R&D parts and verifies that parts are made to specification requirements. De-gates and prepares molded parts for use in new product assemblies.
Communicates daily with project or product engineer on build out concerns and recommends improvements to increase product quality. Verifies that products meet the specifications.
Coordinates the inspection of new parts and final products. Makes recommendations on inspection procedures for new products, as necessary.
Trains assembly leads on assembly procedures for new products.
Responsible for shipping and receiving of engineering parts and materials.
Coordinates the transfer of R&D molds between engineering, tooling, and molding.
Submits product to the test room. Assists engineering in the testing and determining the failure of tested products. Education/Training Required and Preferred:
Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience. Experience Required and Preferred:
Minimum 2 years of experience in product development of manufacturing environment. What You Bring:
Strong mechanical ability, including working knowledge of sprinkler parts and products.
Knowledge of automated assembly process and machinery operation.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, design sketches, and other informational materials.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of employees.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational and decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to use measurement equipment. Calipers, micrometers, comparator, force gauges.
Ability to submit and research Engineering test requests utilizing the Hunter Test Database. What We Offer:

The hourly rate for this opportunity ranges from $22.07 to $35.20
