A social services organization in San Diego, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Temp Accounting Associate for a 4-6 month assignment. This fully onsite role supports billing and accounts receivable functions, including preparing and reconciling Medi-Cal and MCO billing, processing payments, and collaborating with internal departments and external agencies to resolve billing issues. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and ready to manage a high volume of transactions in a mission-driven environment. Salary: $24 - $26 / hour DOE
Temp Accounting Associate Responsibilities:
Prepare Medi-Cal/MCO billing and reconciliations
Prepare Share of Cost billing to regional centers and related agencies
Post billing and payment information to the general ledger
Work with internal departments and external agencies to resolve billing, payment, and authorization issues
Reconcile accounts receivable sub-ledgers
Analyze receivable accounts on a monthly basis
Assist with billing as a subcontractor for a partner organization
Support cash and check deposit processes
Act as a mandated reporter following established guidelines Temp Accounting Associate Requirements:
Two years of accounting experience required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word required
Accounts receivable experience preferred but not required
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Must obtain CPR/First Aid certification upon hire (training provided)
Available to work fully onsite, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
