Surface Plate Calibration Technician

We are seeking a Surface Plate Calibration Technician to join our Field Services team. This position is responsible for performing on-site calibration and lapping of surface plates for customers across Southern Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Responsibilities:

Perform calibration and lapping of granite surface plates to meet industry standards.

Use precision instruments to measure flatness and ensure compliance.

Travel to customer sites within the assigned territory to provide on-site service.

Maintain detailed documentation of calibrations and service reports.

Provide exceptional customer service and technical support.

Ensure compliance with ISO and company standards.

Requirements

Experience in surface plate calibration and lapping is required.

Strong understanding of metrology principles and measurement techniques.

Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.

Self-motivated, with excellent problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment.
