Position Summary:

3GIMBALS is seeking a skilled Project Manager / Senior GIS Analyst to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex geospatial programs in support of federal and national security clients. The selected candidate will function as a Site Lead, managing project staff and operations at one or more locations while serving as the technical point of contact for all geospatial deliverables. This position is contingent upon contract award and will involve supervising geographically distributed teams, overseeing the delivery of geospatial services, and ensuring alignment with government standards and mission needs.Duties & Responsibilities:

Serve as the on-site Site Lead, managing personnel and workflows across one or more project locations

Lead technical execution of tasks including geospatial analysis, cartographic production, remote sensing, and tool support

Coordinate with internal Program Managers and government stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery

Supervise and schedule staff, monitor team performance, and provide professional mentorship

Ensure compliance with reporting, deliverable timelines, and contract-specific requirements

Prepare monthly status reports and coordinate onboarding, access, and security processes for team members

Lead or support planning for project transitions and continuity of operationsMinimum Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship required

Must possess and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance

Given the nature of the work and the agency's security requirements, preference will be given to candidates who already possess an active DHS BI (Background Investigation)

Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field

6+ years of GIS experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or project leadership role

Experience with: - ArcGIS and related Esri platforms - Imagery exploitation and remote sensing workflows - GPS and mobile data collection tools - Web-based GIS applications and geospatial database management

Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsDesired Qualifications:

Experience supporting federal, defense, or intelligence community contracts

Understanding of contractual reporting, GFE accountability, and personnel management in classified or sensitive environments

Familiarity with cloud-hosted GIS, enterprise systems, or open-source geospatial tools

Exposure to law enforcement, border security, or field operations preferredDisclaimer:
