The Manager / Sr. Analyst, Pricing & Contracts will align his/her scope of work with Unichem Pharmaceuticals (USA), Inc.’s business objectives while incorporating Unichem Pharmaceuticals (USA), Inc.’s Core Values as the guiding principle for all work activities. This position is responsible for managing, building, expanding, and monitoring the Unichem product portfolio, ensuring compliance of policies and practices and work in conjunction with our Marketing Department with an overall goal of achieving sales and profits targets as decided by the company.
What will your individual contribution at Unichem be?
Manage the contract and pricing process, including the development and management of national contract price strategies to maximize revenue growth and market penetration for various channels of distribution, including wholesalers, distributors, GPOs, chain drugstores, mail order pharmacies, and institutional/government accounts.
Manage and administer contracts terms and conditions, contract bid and award processing and the monitoring of contract compliance and award acceptance.
Maintain and develop a pricing database and related pricing information on new and existing products for the company.
Review, approve, and execute customer pricing strategies and rebate structures. Work with the Associate Vice President, Marketing on contract term updates.
Ability to take initiative, understand and resolve complex contract and pricing issues and exercise appropriate business judgement.
Monitor pricing based on competition, market share, utilization, costs and put forward recommendations for price adjustments where warranted.
Ensure contract terms and conditions are met and internal notifications are received by appropriate personnel associated with bids/offers to customers.
Provides proactive and in-depth financial analysis of products or market-specific business activity.
Analyze historical sales trends and other pertinent information to formulate and analyze pricing strategies.
Review and address interdepartmental requests for product or customer contract information.
Identify and recommend process improvements and lead the implementation efforts.
Complete ad-hoc analyses and projects per President’s Associate Vice President, Marketing’s request.
Required qualifications and skills:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, finance, accounting, supply chain or related field.
Preferred five (5) years’ experience in commercial sales / marketing operations role within the generic or brand pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
Preferred three (3) years' experience in generic pharmaceuticals, particularly pricing.
Experience using enterprise software (SAP), use of enterprise reports, process flow and maintenance.
Knowledge and use of IQVIA Dataview, Dataview Analyzer and IQVIA Data with focus on the brand and generic pharmaceutical market, pricing services and pricing dynamics.
Effective communicator across different mediums (oral, written, face-to-face, and remotely via available and new technology).
Ability to communicate complex ideas in a succinct, persuasive, and positive manner.
Demonstrated proficiency in a variety of computer applications to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Must have working knowledge of formulas in Excel to handle and analyze a significant amount of data.
Ability to meet accelerated timelines and manage priorities as necessary.
Excellent record keeping and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team-based environment.
Excellent attention to detail.
Physical requirements of the job include:
