Job Description
Responsible for effectively selling pipe and tube bending equipment, and industrial metal fabricating machinery, in an assigned territory consisting of Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucy, West Virginia to achieve maximum sales profitability and growth. Communicate daily with inside staff, follow and respond promptly to any leads and customer activity. Generate new customer accounts as well as service and maintain existing accounts. Analyze customer needs and interests and determine how company products and services can best meet their needs. Ability to present and demonstrate Ercolina products to customers in a clear and concise manner. Recommend and sell our machinery, equipment, materials, supplies, and services utilizing knowledge of machine operations. Assist in preparing quotes and present them in a timely manner to existing and potential customers for review. Follow company pricing guidelines and procedures Monitor sales orders and to delivery keeping customer informed. Responsible for after sales hands on training of product use and function with customer. Negotiate proposals, sales and document customer activity in company CRM daily. Plan and organize sales strategy work to achieve sales goals and forecasts. Expedite the resolution of customer problems, issues or complaints. Ensure strong, effective market share of the products and services by providing direction and information on the products and related services. Work trade shows and attend product-training sessions as required by company. Ability to communicate effectively with and communicate in writing clearly and concisely. Ability to be truthful, credible and knowledgeable in the workplace. Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals and effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Capable of creating and maintain effective work and travel schedule. Responsible for maintaining and documenting reasonable weekly business expenses.
Frequent travel with overnight stays required to cover geographic area . This position requires some level of knowledge in metalworking, fabrication, plasma cutting and or machining industry preferably two plus years. Area has established history of sales activity and growth and company routinely provides new inquiries from our internet, marketing and trade show participation. Base pay plus commission, auto allowance and payment of company expenses.
