Job Summary

Loudoun County Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Developmental Services is expanding crisis services and seeks a dynamic, licensed mental health professional to lead the Emergency Services Program as the Program Manager.

The Emergency Services Program supports individuals experiencing behavioral health and developmental disability crises, their families, and their support systems to connect them to the least restrictive treatment options, up to and including involuntary hospitalization. Services include mobile crisis response to designated community locations, operations of the Crisis Intervention Team Assessment Center, and the facilitation of the civil commitment process.

The Program Manager provides clinical and administrative oversight of the Emergency Services Program and works in concert with the Program Manager of the Co-Responder Program to ensure 24/7 access to crisis services in Loudoun County.

The Program Manager provides direct supervision of clinical and operational program components, development and maintenance of community partnerships including judicial partners, and oversight of civil commitment process. May also provide direct crisis intervention services.

The successful candidate must thrive in complex, fast-paced, and dynamic clinic-based and community settings, and use astute clinical acumen, creative problem solving, and flexibility in their collaborative approach to leadership and community services.

Must be a licensed mental health professional, with experience providing crisis intervention and stabilization services. Regular schedule includes days, evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays, and county closures to ensure 24/7 crisis services.

Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in a field eligible for professional licensure and must hold a valid, Virginia clinical license in good standing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMET), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP). Must have three (3) years of directly related progressively responsible work experience working with individuals who

have a mental health and/or substance use diagnosis, including two (2) years in a supervisory or management role preferably in a government setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must hold certification or be eligible for certification as a Certified Preadmission Screening Certification (CPASC).

Preferred:

Bilingual strongly preferred. Must be able to respond to one of the INOVA Emergency Departments within one hour and satisfy the contractor requirements of INOVA.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, credit check, driving record check and TB test. Must have a valid driver's license in Virginia or regional state of residence.
