We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Coil Winder Technician at $19/hr. on W2, commensurate to experience, for a 6-month contract-to-permanent opportunity in Turtle Creek, PA 15145. In this role, you will be responsible for winding coils on machines or directly into stators, rotors, and armatures. The ideal candidate should have a hands-on approach, be comfortable with physical work, and have strong technical knowledge in coil winding processes. Responsibilities:
Wind coils on machines or manually into stators, rotors, and armatures according to specifications
Hand-wrap coils with insulating tape and apply varnish or enamel coatings
Cut, shape, and install sheet insulation into electrical component slots
Insert coils, then compress and form them using hand tools to meet design standards
Operate brazing equipment including induction, resistance, or torch-based systems
Take critical measurements and create accurate wiring and blocking diagrams
Clean, prepare, and inspect coils before and during the winding process
Work Hours:
This position requires flexibility to work either of the following shifts and occasional overtime:
1st Shift: 6: 30 AM 3: 00 PM (OT until 5: 00 PM)
2nd Shift: 10: 30 PM 7: 00 AM (OT until 8: 30 PM)
OT on weekends is common and may be required
Job Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of coil winding experience
Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative work style
