Robinson Pharma, Inc. (Santa Ana, CA) needs R&D Formulator:
Develops new products in stable formulas/different dosage forms (pet treats, edible chews, and supplements) for pets, especially for dogs and cats. Develops new formulation for Robinson Pharma’s existing customers, as requested. Conducts stability testing for new products as needed. Improves current formulations of products when needed. Develops suitable delivery system for certain supplement products. Reviews data for accuracy, completeness and compliance generated by other chemists and/or laboratory technicians. Reviews the effects of bioactive compounds for disease prevention and health promotion targeted at aging, inflammatory and other chronic diseases. Research for new materials based on published scientific and clinically relevant evidence. Conducts new raw materials validation and documentation. Works with Marketing, R&D, Sales and other cross-functional teams to support new product development and customer projects. Provides technical information, performs analysis and reads scientific information to help answer technical questions. Coordinate with agency running clinical studies for new supplement products. Adheres to FDA regulations, Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO), Standard. Operating Procedures (SOP’s), American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Standard Safety Practices, and all company policies/procedures. Conducts presentations for existing/potential customers at various company events around the world. Travel/relocation to various company sites within California only is required.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science, Animal Nutrition, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.
Experience: 1 year of experience as a Lab Technician or related.
Salary: $90,667.00 per year
