Job Description
We are seeking skilled CNC Lathe Machinists to join our team at a manufacturing company specializing in plastic and rubber parts for downstream operations in the oil and gas industry. As a CNC Machinist, you will operate CNC or manual machines to fabricate production parts according to print specifications and quality standards. You will be responsible for performing setups and operating CNC machines, such as FANUC and MAZAK, under supervision. The role involves running multiple setups per shift or week, depending on client requests, and operating VMC mills to machine plastics, metal, and rubber components.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC and manual machines to fabricate production parts according to specifications.
Perform setups and operate CNC machines, including FANUC and MAZAK models.
Program parts and set controls to regulate machining factors such as feed, speed, pressure variables, and coolant flow.
Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and setup requirements.
Work with up to 4-5 axis machines and ensure precision within +/- 1/2 in .0001 tolerance.
Run dry cycles before production to ensure safety and accuracy.
Implement new methods of setup and manufacturability utilizing the latest technology.
Report changes to production rates and processes to management for updates.
Provide production rates for quoting purposes as requested.Essential Skills
Minimum of 3+ years experience performing setups and edits, familiar with G codes and M codes.
Experience with FANUC or MAZAK machines for 3-5 years.
Ability to work with precision within +/- 1/2 in .0001 tolerance.
Proficiency in studying blueprints and determining setup requirements.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience operating 4-axis Doosan 600 and Doosan 400 lathe machines.
Preferably experienced in operating Haas mills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is a clean, orderly, and climate-controlled shop floor. While the manufacturing and production environment can be hot and loud at times, candidates should have previous experience in similar settings. Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes are required, with other necessary PPE provided. The 2nd shift runs from 4 PM to 12 AM, with occasional Saturday work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HUMBLE, Texas.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
