Job Title: Production Operator
Job Description
This role involves working on the production floor, primarily as a machine assistant. You will be responsible for standing for over 9 hours a day at the end of a machine to collect cardboard in a fast-paced environment. Some machines produce up to 400 boxes per minute, and you will need to grab stacks efficiently. The role includes inspecting boxes with a tape measure, assisting in various areas, and maintaining constant movement and lifting. During slower periods, you will be expected to stay proactive by finding tasks such as sweeping. Additionally, you will work in the baler room, collecting excess materials from each station and placing them in the baler room.
Responsibilities
Operate as a machine assistant on the production floor.
Collect cardboard at the end of fast-paced machines.
Inspect boxes using a tape measure for accuracy.
Assist in different production areas as needed.
Maintain constant movement and manage lifting tasks.
Stay proactive during slow periods by identifying tasks like sweeping.
Work in the baler room, collecting and processing excess materials.Essential Skills
1 year of production or manufacturing experience.
Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
Proficiency in reading a tape measure to 1/8 of an inch.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
The position operates in a non-climate-controlled facility, which remains comfortable in winter but can become warm in summer due to machinery. The first shift runs from 6 AM to 1 PM, and the second shift from 2 PM to 10 PM. Safety requirements include wearing steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Caledonia, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
