Job Summary: As a Diesel, General Truck Maintenance, or Trailer Technician at our facility, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the performance and reliability of a diverse range of transportation equipment. Your responsibilities will span from conducting detailed inspections and performing preventive maintenance to carrying out in-depth repairs across various vehicle types. This comprehensive approach ensures that all aspects of the fleet-from diesel engines to general truck systems and trailer components-operate smoothly and efficiently.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rates ranging from $23 to $40, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to determine vehicle conditions and identify any necessary repairs.

Complete preventive maintenance such as servicing, lubricating, and changing oils to ensure vehicle reliability and performance.

Repair or replace major assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components, including electrical systems, brakes, steering, and hydraulics.

Perform DOT inspections and comply with all federal and state vehicle requirements.

Maintain detailed records of services and repairs using our digital tools for documentation.

Engage in ongoing education to stay abreast of industry developments and safety standards.

Collaborate effectively with team members to enhance service delivery and workshop safety.

Preferred Skills:

Strong oral and written communication abilities.

Technical expertise with diesel engines and related systems.

Proven ability in time management and project organization.

Aptitude for mathematics and technical reading.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

At least 1 year of related experience in diesel machinery maintenance.

ASE Certification preferred.

Valid driver's license.

Physical and Work Environment:

Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Capability to work in various positions, including standing, lying, or crouching.

Willingness to work in loud environments both indoors and outdoors.
