Position Summary
The Ellucian Colleague DBA / Report Writer to support the institution’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. The
individual in this position will be responsible for database administration, report writing, and supporting end users with
data reporting needs. This position may be hybrid (on-premises and remote), with preference given to in-person
employment.
Essential Job Duties
• Administer and maintain Ellucian Colleague databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability
• Develop and maintain reports using Argos, PowerBI, SQL, and other reporting tools
• Support end users by providing data extracts and assisting with reporting needs
• Monitor and optimize database performance, including troubleshooting issues and applying patches and
upgrades
• Develop scripts and automation for data management and reporting processes
• Work closely with stakeholders across departments to ensure accurate and effective reporting solutions
• Maintain documentation related to database administration and report generation
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field
• Minumum of three (3) years of experience working with Ellucian Colleague
• Experience with data visualization tools and dashboards is desirable
• Experience with virtual machine administration and management
Licenses/Certifications
• None required, but relevant certifications (Ellucian, SQL, Database Administration) are a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Experience administering Ellucian Colleague databases and related systems
• Proficiency in SQL and report writing tools such as Argos
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Strong database management and report writing skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
• Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have a strong work ethic and lead by example
• Must be a professional, credible and respected representative of the institution internally and in the community
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsible
• Ability to communicate in a courteous manner
