As we continue to expand our Professional Services organization, we are seeking a Solution Architect to lead technical solutioning and ensure successful implementations for our mid-market and enterprise customers. This role is critical in bridging the gap between customer requirements, product capabilities, and scalable deployment strategies.

About the Role

As a Solution Architect in Professional Services, you will play a key role in guiding Ottimate customers through the successful adoption of our platform. You will be responsible for architecting tailored solutions, driving technical best practices, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless integrations. This role requires a deep understanding of Ottimate’s product, as well as strong technical and consultative skills to solve complex Accounts Payable and Purchasing business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Solutioning & Architecture

Design and document end-to-end AP solutions leveraging Ottimate’s platform within customer environments.

Define best practices for implementation, configuration, and integration with ERP, procurement, and financial systems.

Collaborate with customers to assess requirements, map business processes and workflows, and propose scalable solutions.

Customer Engagement & Consulting

Act as a trusted advisor to customers, guiding them through the implementation lifecycle.

Lead technical workshops and discovery sessions to define solution architecture.

Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges during deployment.

Integration & Customization

Work closely with product and engineering teams to expand Ottimate’s platform capabilities where needed.

Define API-driven integration strategies and support customers in data migration and system connectivity.

Provide technical guidance on scripting, middleware, and automation workflows.

Collaboration & Enablement

Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Product Consulting teams to ensure smooth handoffs and customer success.

Contribute to internal knowledgebases, technical documentation, and training materials.

Mentor Professional Services consultants and project teams on best practices in solution architecture.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

7+ years in solution architecture, professional services, or implementation roles within a SaaS or enterprise software environment.

Deep experience in ERP, procurement, or financial system integrations (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, Acumatica, Microsoft BC, etc).

Strong track record of designing and deploying complex B2B SaaS solutions.

Experience in designing and implementing solutions that automate PO validation and invoice processing, preferably within a SaaS environment (strongly preferred)

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in APIs, middleware, and system integrations.

Solid understanding of cloud architectures, data transformation, and security best practices.

Deep understanding of purchase order processing within Accounts Payable, including matching methodologies, discrepancy resolution, and related financial controls.

Soft Skills & Qualities:

Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a consultative mindset.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.

Other Requirements:

Willingness to travel for customer engagements as needed.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environment.
