Electrical Engineer

Contract Duration: 12 months

Location: White Plains, NY (Hybrid with 2+ days onsite required)

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with 1-5 years of experience to join our team on a 12-month contract. This role will support the System Interconnection/System Planning Team and work on conceptual engineering design for System Impact Study and Facility Study phases of new interconnection projects, new transmission projects, and conventional facility modifications.

Responsibilities:

Assist Project Management to coordinate with Developers to ensure designs and specifications meet technical requirements.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for facility study design and conceptual design for generator connections.

Coordinate with various departments to develop agreements and execute Interconnection Agreements.

Prepare project requests and coordinate project number and WBS codes for cost tracking.

Review Feasibility Study (FES) scope, FES report, System Reliability Impact Study (SRIS) scope and reports.

Interpret results from power flow and transient simulations using PSSE or TARA.

Coordinate to provide asset information, drawings, and standards for interconnection.

Skills:

Experience with high voltage substation and transmission project development and execution.

Experience with large scale renewable projects, desired.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

Education & Certifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power System.

Minimum of 3 years of high voltage substation and transmission line engineering experience.

Minimum of 3 years in project management.

New York State PE, desired.
