Physician (MD/DO) - Anesthesiology in Worcester, MA

A busy medical facility in Worcester, Massachusetts is seeking a locums Anesthesiology Physician to provide full-time weekday coverage.

This is a dynamic role with a blend of bread-and-butter, OB, thoracic, OBGYN, and complex general cases.

The practice uses a 1:3 supervision model over CRNAs, but physicians can also perform solo cases if desired.

Position Highlights: Coverage Type: Full-Time Locums Team Structure: 8–9 anesthesiologists on staff daily Case Types: Bread and Butter, OB, Thoracic, OBGYN, Complex General Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:00 AM start (8:00 AM on Wednesdays) 10–12 hour shifts OB Call (In-House): Potential – 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM Supervision Model: 1:3 with CRNAs, optional solo work available Call: OB call optional; no other required call at this time Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology Active Massachusetts Medical License – Required BLS and ACLS – Required Comfortable managing a broad range of case types including OB and thoracic anesthesia Prior supervisory experience over CRNAs preferred As one of New England’s fastest-growing cities, Worcester offers a vibrant mix of culture, education, and medical innovation.
