Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) – Surgical Services Location: Providence Regional Medical Center, Everett Colby Campus – Everett, WA Shift: Evening Shift 5x8s 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM Contract Length: 13 Weeks Job Summary: Providence Regional Medical Center Everett is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to join our Surgical Services team.

This contract opportunity offers a dynamic environment in a Level II Trauma Center, working with a wide range of surgical specialties and advanced medical technologies.

The successful candidate will support high-volume surgical services and play a vital role in ensuring safe, sterile instrumentation and equipment for patient procedures.

Key Responsibilities: Perform decontamination, sterilization, assembly/wrapping, and case cart preparation Manage high surgical caseloads (approx.

65/day) and tray volumes (approx.

1200/day) Support various surgical specialties including Ortho, Neuro, Urology, Vascular, ENT, Robotics, GYN, Bariatrics, and more Maintain accurate records and follow infection control standards Collaborate with OR and central sterile teams to ensure timely instrument turnaround Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of recent SPD experience in inpatient, outpatient, and trauma settings Certification required: CBSPD or IAHCSMM Experience in SPM tracking system and Epic charting preferred Must have experience with HLD, endoscopic/laparoscopic instruments, and surgical implants Must be able to work weekends and commit to 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day) Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Additional Details: Shift: Evenings (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) Guaranteed Hours: 40/week No locals accepted (must live 50 miles from facility) Facility uses EPIC for charting Scrub color: Any (excluding reddish-orange) Parking: Free and facility paid
