Sterilization, decontamination, assembly/wrap, case cart, HLD, and scrub experience required.
Experience with surgical cases such as Ortho, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Vascular, Thoracic, Neuro, Gyn, Bariatrics, Plastics, Podiatry, ENT, Transplant, Robotics, and Implants is essential.
Experience in Ophthalmology is preferred.
Description: The Sterile Processing Technician will ensure all surgical instruments and trays are properly processed and ready for use.
Daily caseload is approximately 65 surgical cases with a tray volume of 1200.
Weekend shifts are required.
The successful candidate will not need to float between units.
Candidates must be able to accommodate a variable schedule based on case needs.
Responses to specific questions regarding experience and skills must be provided for review.
Travelers are expected to float between various units when necessary.
All travelers must commit to working three of the five major holidays.
Minimum of two supervisory references within the last three years in a comparable specialty/setting is required.
All completed modules prior to start are self-reported and recorded.
Orientation will consist of 40 hours of training.
