Sterile Processing Technician

Location: Lemoore, CA

Job Type: Full Time

Hours: 7:00am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday no weekends or holidays

Responsibilities: Included but not limited to

Operating and preparing surgical instruments and medical devices to clean, disinfect, and decontaminate.

Inspecting instruments and equipment for signs of damage and wear and tear.

Unpacking, checking and stocking new equipment, instruments and devices.

Delivering equipment and supplies to all areas of the facility.

Responding to emergency supply requests during surgical procedures.

Maintaining accurate records of when items undergo sterilization.

Monitoring temperature and humidity conditions within storage areas.

Ensures proper disposal of hazardous waste and reports all malfunctioning equipment.

Clean loading carts, delivery carts, work areas, using chemical solutions and detergents

Requirements & Experience:

At least two (2) years of recent Sterile Processing technician experience.

Possess a high school education or equivalency.

Possess a valid IAHCSMM certification or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).

The ability to interpret written material, technical material, regulations, instructions, and reports.
