Generator Shop Technician Opportunity Summary:
Generator Shop Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, diagnosing preventive maintenance and emergency services on standby power generation equipment.
Job Duties:
Service, repair, modify, diagnose, and rebuild standby power generators ranging from 8.5kw- 3500kw.
Perform failure analysis, service, and/or repairs
Service a variety of power generation equipment and air compressors
Check/repair all supporting systems such as fuel, cooling, and electrical systems
Operation of load banks and recording of instrumentation
Clean, check, recondition, and determine the reusability of used parts
Keep current with product changes, specifications, and updates
Compile all repair, maintenance, and estimates for the above-listed duties
Work Experience & Qualifications:
3 to 5 years of mechanical experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, and compressors)
EGSA Certification (Preferred)
Computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
