Overview: Thompson Pipe Group seeks an experienced Production Scheduler & Project Coordinator to proactively manage manufacturing schedules, inventory, and materials coordination. This role combines detailed operational scheduling expertise with project administrative support to ensure efficient manufacturing workflows and timely project completion.
Essential Functions:
Scheduling & Production Coordination:
Actively manage detailed production schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent scheduling software.
Coordinate closely with Manufacturing, Inventory Management, and Purchasing to ensure timely procurement and availability of materials.
Track and manage inventory levels, proactively identifying potential material shortages or schedule delays.
Analyze scheduling variances and production risks, promptly communicating impacts and proposing actionable solutions.
Administrative & Sales Support:
Support the sales team with project quoting, order tracking, and general administrative duties.
Maintain accurate records in ERP and CRM systems.
Provide necessary project documentation and reports.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in production scheduling, inventory control, or related roles within manufacturing environments.
Proven proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar scheduling software.
Strong computer skills, including ERP and CRM experience.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive communication skills, capable of resolving scheduling conflicts and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Prior experience in pipe manufacturing or similar industrial production environments.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move products and supplies, up to 40 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, Non-exempt position. Days and office hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00m. to 4:00 p.m. OT will be required as needed.
