KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Logistics Specialist at Bosch, an individual will be focused on daily problem solving and analysis to bring continuous improvement opportunities in process and cost to greater than $100M USD North American spend. This associate will need to bring a strong drive to exceed customer expectations and communicate transparently and directly. Above all, the associate will drive the continued operational development and successful launch of internal international freight management within the Bosch global organization.

Lane by lane new implementation and all on-forwarding operations

Daily Track and Trace activities to support Summerville Warehouse

Process development/improvement and training

Account management (customer service) functions

Escalation point for operational issues with all inbound freight (Air/Ocean/Domestic)

Sea & Air Freight bid support and requirement definition

Monitoring Carrier performance and take actions to improve LSP issues

Schedule Adherence and Damages

Support Damage claims and corrective actions

Manage inbound expedites and container deliveries with local transportation company

Manage ongoing action items that drive improvements in the project using CIP and PDCA processes

Develop strong working relationships with Bosch plant transportation teams, Transport carriers and material planning groups to:

Clearly understand and document requirements for daily management of int’l air and sea freight (including forecasting)

Proactively communicate delays or other impacts to their deliveries while streamlining communications

Monitor and Improve On-time delivery performance and reporting KPI’s

Support requests and tasks assigned by management

Support, identify, and communicate

o Corrective actions

o Deviations

o Lean processes

After hours availability is sometimes required to support critical shipments as needed

Required to sit onsite at local warehouse to support day to day activitiesQualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Business, Industrial Operations, Engineering, Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain field

Must have at least 2+ years experience in a Transportation Logistics role involving international air and sea freight

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with project and process management

Experience with leading and managing teams

Continuous improvement process experience

8D/ 5-Why Problem Solving Experience

Strong written & verbal communication skills: Spanish speaking a plus

Strong analytical, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

Results focused, motivated and energetic

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Experience in using transportation management systems

Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only. Future sponsorship for work authorization unavailable.

Salary Range:The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 - $90,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
