Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) – Surgical Services Location: Baltimore, MD 21201 Contract Duration: 13 weeks with potential for multiple extensions Start Date: June 9, 2025- tentative Shift: Night Shift 5x8-Hour 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM Unit: Operating Room - SPT - 2010-11377 Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to join our Supply Chain Central Sterile team on a 13-week contract.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience, including scope room (HLD) processing, and experience in a Level I Trauma Center.

Key Responsibilities: Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.

Process endoscopes and other high-level disinfection (HLD) devices.

Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and hospital sterilization standards.

Prepare and distribute surgical instrument trays for the operating room.

Document sterilization processes and equipment maintenance accurately.

Float to other facilities within the UMMS system as needed.
