Position Overview:

We’re seeking an experienced Data Engineer to drive the implementation of our Data Strategy and Initiatives. This role is both hands-on and strategic, focusing on scalable solutions that support internal teams and external clients across the healthcare and pharmaceutical landscape.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in healthcare/pharmaceutical data engineering

Strong preference for startup healthcare technology experience

Proven expertise in infrastructure engineering

Advanced experience with the modern data stack

Deep understanding of data privacy and security standards

Strong collaboration skills with product engineering teams

Key Responsibilities Data Pipeline Development & Integration

Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes

Engineer data pipelines for near real-time reporting

Develop data solutions for performance measurement

Analyze and engineer customer pattern data

Design and implement third-party integrations

Implement FHIR/HL7 data exchanges

Data Warehousing & Database Management

Design scalable data warehouse and self-serve solutions

Implement and optimize performant data models

Develop connections for 1st and 3rd party data sources

Handle structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data

Create standard APIs for data access

Manage client and pharmacy data flows

Execute on a 5-year data strategy roadmap

Compliance & Security

Implement HIPAA-compliant data solutions

Build secure data transfer mechanisms

Maintain audit trails and logging infrastructure

Design and uphold regulatory compliance frameworks

Create PHI-specific security protocols

Ensure GDPR and CCPA compliance

Analytics & Performance

Develop near real-time analytics pipelines
